The ELC strives to provide high-quality early childhood education and early intervention for children with and without disabilities in an inclusive educational setting.

The Division for Early Childhood (DEC) and the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) recommend the “inclusion” method as the best practice model for early childhood education and intervention. Using the evidence-based Creative Curriculum and corresponding outcome measurement system, NCC is able to provide a play-centered environment with individualized instruction, which helps each child reach his or her greatest possible potential.

NCC partners with the people that we serve, their families and others in the community, to work toward a clear vision for the future. We believe that people with developmental disabilities should have every resource necessary to live, learn, work, grow and thrive in their community – which fully embraces them as valued and contributing members of society.

ELC’s clinical team is comprised of highly skilled clinicians with vast levels of experience.

Many of our therapists hold specialty certifications in infant and child development, sensory integration, and are certified clinical instructors. The core principals of our clinical team include: Evidence Based Practice (EBP), inclusion, promotion of independence, and ensuring that each child reaches his or her potential.

Our diverse treatment strategies frequently include family and staff training, use of assistive technology (such as iPads), neuromuscular re-education, manual therapy, casting and bracing, gait training, sensory integration and infant massage – to name a few. In order to ensure positive therapeutic outcomes, our clinicians maintain open communication with our families in order to update them on their child’s progress and modify intervention strategies as needed. Through frequent collaboration with teaching staff during scheduled interdisciplinary meetings, our clinicians monitor the child’s ability to carryover skills in a multitude of settings, as well as support the child’s normal development – both in the program, and as they transition to elementary education.
